  • You’re invited to book an appointment to work with a Jottful-vetted virtual assistant to help set up software that connects to your website.
  • All virtual assistant appointments are video calls. You will be given a link to join each video call.
  • To make things easy, Jottful provides appointment booking and billing for these services.
  • But these services are NOT provided by Jottful. For the most part, the virtual assistants are NOT Jottful employees.
  • The virtual assistant may be located anywhere in the world. All speak English well.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Refunds available ONLY if you cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours of advance notice.
  • There are no refunds for missed appointments.
  • If you attend a session and we feel unable to provide assistance, we will refund your fee. This is at our sole discretion and is valid only for sessions that conclude no more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time.

  • Identify gaps for running your business online
  • Recommend the type of software you’ll need and, in some cases, specific software applications

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • We have customers in most industries but, of course, we don’t know everything about every industry. We may not be familiar with a specific software application you use but we typically do understand how it might connect with your website software.
  • We prefer to recommend free and inexpensive options when we can.
  • There are a few software applications that we can help you get set up. For others, you’ll need to do it yourself or find someone to help you.

  • Add a signature to your outbound emails
  • Teach you how to send emails from an alias

WE WILL:

  • Work with you on a video call to get your Google Business Profile set up
  • Create your Google Business Profile account, if you’ve not already done so
  • Walk you through the verification process

WHAT YOU MUST DO TO PREPARE:

  1. Nothing! Just show up to the video call, preferably on a computer or tablet, as that will make it much easier to complete your profile than if you used a phone.

  • Work with you on a video call to get your appointment-booking software set up
  • Create your Calendly account, if you’ve not already done so
  • Set up your appointment slots
  • Set up payments, if needed
  • Connect Calendly to your online calendar
  • Connect Calendly to your Jottful website
  • Teach you how to update your availability

WHAT YOU MUST DO TO PREPARE:

  1. We highly recommend you also use an online calendar, such as Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook. This helps prevent double booking of appointments. If you use an online calendar, be sure to have it open and ready for our video meeting.
  2. Decide what working hours you want to make available for people to book an appointment with you.
  3. Decide how you’re going to take appointments: in person, via phone, or via video call.
  4. If you’re charging for your appointments, decide what your cancellation policy will be.
  5. If you’re going to meet via video, then decide which video platform you want to use with your booking software. Google Meet and Zoom are both common and are integrated with Calendly.

  • Create your Stripe account, if you’ve not already done so
  • Connect your Stripe account to your online bank account
  • Set up your products and prices
  • Create your pricing tables
  • Set up your checkout process, if needed
  • Connect Stripe to your website

WHAT YOU MUST DO TO PREPARE:

  1. You must use online banking in order to set up payments software. If you don’t have an online account with your bank, please create one before your call.
  2. Know your online banking login credentials.
  3. Have your business EIN number ready.
  4. If you’ll use Stripe as more than just a payment gateway (meaning that Stripe will not merely serve as a go-between your store and your bank account):
    • For each product or service you’ll offer, have the product information ready to go (learn more here).
    • Have at least one picture of each product or service saved to your computer.
    • Decide how you want to set up shipping.
    • Find out if you need to charge sales tax.
    • If you sell subscription products, determine whether you’ll offer both monthly and yearly subscriptions and whether you’ll give a discount for longer terms.
