The purpose of this policy is to ensure we’re using AI in a way that allows us to deliver all our customers a website that is affordable, effective, easy-to-update, and secure.

1. AI-generated text

You are welcome to use your AI tools to draft text for you. Since our agreement is one of co-maintenance, you can then use Jottful’s Magical Editor to update the text on your website accordingly. Do not send us any files with AI-generated text as our team is not able to accept them.

Specifically, our team is NOT able to provide:

• Text editing or “clean up”
• Marketing / SEO recommendations
• Opinions

2. AI-generated images

AI-generated images are like digital paintings—once they are “painted,” they are very hard to change. For that reason, all AI images are used “as-is” — regardless of who made the original image. This means we’re not able to make tweaks to AI-generated images, aside from the cropping that can be done in the Magical Editor.

If an AI image needs a specific edit, you’re welcome to make those changes on your end before sending the final version to us.

3. AI-generated page designs

Jottful is a Content Management System (CMS) that is specially designed for small business owners to keep their websites up-to-date easily and affordably. AI design tools don’t understand how our specific software works or what it’s capable of. Because of this, we cannot accept AI-generated page designs.

If you would like changes to your website’s layout, we encourage you to contact Support to discuss your needs so we can assist.

4. AI-generated code

Jottful’s software creates the code for your website pages. For that reason, we cannot build entire pages or complex systems using AI-generated code. So please do not send us any full pages of code; we cannot accept it.

However you are welcome to use AI to generate small widgets or snippets that we can add to a page on your website (e.g., a price calculator, etc.). You are solely responsible for the quality, maintenance, and security of any code snippets you provide to Jottful.

5. AI-generated SEO strategies

If you use AI to draft an SEO strategy for your website, you may use the Magical Editor to make the suggested changes. If you need help with this, please join our next free SEO training session.
