The second step is to update your website’s content — such as page titles, descriptions, and other text — to use the language (or “keywords”) that your website’s visitors are likely to use when they search for you. For this, we recommend you engage an SEO professional; we can recommend a professional who provides discounted service specifically for Jottful customers.

Certainly! Most domain names cost between $15-$25 per year. Once we know which name you’d like, we can check to see if it’s available and how much it would cost to purchase. When you purchase a domain name through Jottful, we’ll also set it to automatically renew each year, so you won’t have to worry about losing it because you forgot to renew it.

Absolutely! You can keep your domain with your current registrar or, if you like, you can move it over to Jottful. It’s all the same to us.

Sure! Jottful is a Certified Google Workspace Partner, which means we can set you up with a business email account that will use the familiar Gmail software and feature your custom domain name (e.g., hello@yourbusiness.com). Business email accounts cost just $6 per month, or $72 per year.

We don’t design logos at Jottful, however:

  • We may be able to recommend a Jottful Community designer to you with that skill set
  • We can provide a “creative brief” you can use to communicate your needs with your designer
  • We can build your website with your name instead of a logo. So, if you don’t have one, don’t worry — you don’t need one!

At Jottful we don’t provide marketing services, but we should be able to refer you to a Jottful Community partner who can help. Just let us know your needs and we’ll see if we can make a connection!

A Jottful website costs $59 – $99 per month, plus a one-time setup fee.

The monthly fee covers access to our software, customer support, assistance making updates to your website, technical maintenance, security, and hosting. We don’t nickel-and-dime you by charging extra for hosting, security certificates, plugins, and so on. It’s just simple, all-in-one pricing and you can choose to pay monthly or yearly — whatever is most convenient for you.

We also don’t charge big setup fees like an agency or designer would. To build your website we charge $149 per page — and we’ll reduce that to just $99 per page when you sign up within 24 hours of your demo. If you choose the Grow & Sell plan, there’s also a $299 charge for us to configure your online store.

Absolutely! We’ll create a homepage design for your firm, for free, so you can see if you like. Go ahead and request your free homepage design now.

Nope; you can cancel at any time.

Think of Jottful as being like a scrapbook: we provide the book, you provide all the text and images. If you choose to leave Jottful, we’ll give you all your text and images back and you can use them to fill up a new “scrapbook.” In other words, you can take all your content to a designer, agency, or software program and use it to build a new website.

Nope; we include website hosting in our monthly fee. If you already pay for hosting elsewhere, you can turn that off once your Jottful website launches.

You’ll need to provide us with all the text and images you’d like to use on your website. If you don’t have this content now, we may be able to help you find someone in Jottful Community who can create it. In addition to this, we’ll ask you questions such as:

  • What you want to accomplish with the website (e.g., get appointments, receive donations, etc.)?
  • What two colors do you want to use?
  • Do you have a preference for the name of pages or the overall website navigation?
  • If you’ll have a contact form on your website, what information would you like to collect with that form?

Once you provide your text and images, one of our Producers will build your website for you. Our Producers are trained in website marketing best practices and design. Plus, they’re friendly and helpful!

If you have your own high-resolution images, we’ll use those.
If you have quality photos on your social media profiles, we can download and use those, too. If the images are not high-resolution, we can still use them — we’ll just let you know they may look “grainy” on your website.
If you need photos taken, we may be able to help you find a local photographer through Jottful Community.
Finally, we may be able to use free stock photography or recommend some websites you can peruse to look for photographs that will work well for you.

If you have your own text, we’ll use that. If you need some text written, we may be able to help you find a writer.

We’ll work with you to identify a visual look-and-feel (aka: “style”) that matches your brand’s personality. That style will determine such things as what fonts are used and what size the text will be. You’ll select two brand colors and provide your logo, the text, and photos you want to use (or suggest edits to photos we find for you). You can tell us to move sections around on a page or put them on different pages.

We’ll honor your requests where our styles permit and we’ll tell you if there’s something we can’t do. If you want to choose your own fonts or you consider yourself to be picky about design, we are probably not the right solution for you.

Your website will be built for your business, with your text, your images, your brand colors, and your logo. We’ll arrange everything in a way that makes it easy for your website visitors to find what they need. We’ll also work with you to select an overall visual look-and-feel that matches your brand’s personality.
