Pricing

Not just a great price, Jottful is a smart value.

Oh, you noticed? 😉  Based on the quotes our customers share with us, Jottful is 90% less expensive than a typical web designer or agency. Here’s how that’s possible: making sure the website is effective and presents your business in a professional manner is our priority; bells and whistles are not. We’re able to keep our costs down by avoiding faddish tricks and custom coding.

With Jottful you pay just one subscription fee, either monthly or yearly. We don’t nickel-and-dime you by charging for website hosting separately or billing you hourly for our time. Here’s what your subscription fee covers:

  • Access to our “Magical Editor” software. We designed our software to be so intuitive you won’t need any training to use it. Imagine if you could just visit a website, click on a word, and type to change it. That’s exactly how our Magical Editor works! As a result, our customers find it easier to just change text and images themselves than trying to describe to someone else what needs to be done. What’s more, you won’t have to pay an hourly fee for a designer.
  • Real humans you can always call or email — and that are eager to help. If you build your own website using DIY software, good luck getting someone to answer the phone when you have a question. You’ll likely be stuck reading their support articles any time you need assistance. If you hire a designer or agency to build a website for you, you’ll either need to update it yourself after it’s launched or hire them at a pricey hourly rate any time you need to make a change. With Jottful, customer support is just included.
  • Website hosting & security. If you hire a designer or agency, you’ll need to pay separately for hosting and a security certificate. With Jottful, it’s just included.
  • Security, outage monitoring, updates, and backups. Again, if you hire a designer or agency, you’ll have to pay them hourly to fix technical problems as they arise. Designers and agencies very often build their websites using software called WordPress. With this software, frequent updates of the underlying code and all plugins will be required (oh, and you may need to pay a fee just to use the plugins, too). Updates can be tricky because a plugin may not be compatible with a new version of the software — and then the plugin will fail, which can cause critical pieces of your website to stop working (such as your lead-generation form). But not updating your website exposes it to hackers. With Jottful, all this maintenance (and peace of mind!) is just included.
  • Monthly email with your website stats. We can add Google Analytics to your website, too, but most of our customers find it to be overly complicated. Jottful sends you an email each month with the most important information only. Short and sweet, but helpful. And
 it’s included with your subscription.
  • Customer-only training sessions. We’re committed to your success. So we run regular, optional training sessions to help you improve your business’s marketing. Popular topics include: SEO, your Google Business listing, and getting customer reviews. There’s no charge for this training; it’s just included!

Absolutely! Your website will feature your text, your images, your brand colors, your logo and a visual look-and-feel that matches your brand’s personality. We’ll organize everything so it’s easy for your website visitors to navigate the website and take the action you want them to take.

Absolutely! Jottful websites use “mobile-responsive” design, so your website will look and work great on every device, including smartphones and tablets.

Yes! There are a number of ways you can make sales on your website. On our first call together, we’ll help you find the best choice for your business.

That said, Jottful is not a for businesses that want to sell more than a handful of items on their website.

All Jottful websites are “SEO-ready,” meaning that they are built in a technical way that makes it easy for search engines to understand them. This is the first step in having a website that is optimized for search engines. We also provide free SEO workshops for all our customers.

Yep! All Jottful subscriptions include free, speedy website hosting.

You can contact us by email, phone, or text message — whatever works best for you.

Jottful Support is open Monday – Friday, from 8 am – 7 pm ET, excluding holidays. You can typically expect a response within one business day from when you contact us. That’s right, we’re super fast!

Process

Jottful is the easiest way to get a website.

If you already have a website, or if you have your text and images ready to go, we’ll probably have your new website live in less than a week. Yes, seriously, it’s that fast!

If you’re getting a website for the first time and have very little written content, however, it will almost certainly take longer. Exactly how long will really depend on how quickly you can write the text or get someone else to write it for you.

Absolutely! You can keep your domain with your current registrar or, if you like, you can move it over to Jottful. You can also register a domain name with Jottful. It’s all the same to us.

Nope! If you choose to cancel, your cancellation will become effective as soon as your current subscription term (monthly or yearly) ends.

Nope. And we make it super easy to cancel. There are no hoops to jump through! Just log in to your website and cancel anytime.

If you’ve ever built your own website with DIY software, you’re probably already aware that you usually don’t get your content back if you leave. But Jottful is different. If you choose to leave Jottful, we’ll give you all your text and images back. You can then take that content to a designer, agency, or software program and use it to build a new website.

(P.S. It’s not possible to “move” a website from one platform to another. That’s just not a thing.)
