Inbound Sales Representative

We’re hiring a Small Business Website Advocate / Inbound Sales Representative to talk with Jottful’s small business prospects all day every day — qualifying prospects, winning deals, and setting our Website Builders up for success in onboarding our new customers.

Jottful is reimagining the way small businesses market themselves online — starting with their websites. We’re an early-stage software company with a rapidly growing all-remote workforce.
What is this position all about?
Jottful’s Website Advocates are the first point of contact for all prospective customers. In this position, you’d play a critical role in building trust and ensuring a remarkable experience for every prospect and customer.
We take a consultative approach to the sales process, helping small-business owners understand how an effective online presence can be beneficial, thoughtfully qualifying their needs to ensure we are the best fit, guiding prospects through the buyer journey, showcasing the value of our solution, and helping to onboard them as new customers.
Responsibilities
Communicating with Prospective Customers
- Qualify inbound leads, communicate our value proposition, and answer questions about online marketing and Jottful’s product on an initial phone call
- Deliver demos that delight prospective customers on a video call, explaining the signup and onboarding process, addressing questions, and handling objections
Record Keeping
- Clearly document each prospect’s business, marketing, and design requirements in our customer relationship management (CRM) software
- Ensure the status of — and next step for — each prospect opportunity is accurate and up-to-date
- Share what you learn from prospects with the broader team so we can continually improve our product, marketing, and processes
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years where you were responsible for finding new customers, either in a marketing or sales role in a small business by operating your own side gig or small business
- Exposure to online marketing and websites
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive self-starter and internally motivated
- Highly organized with exceptional follow-up skills
- Quick learner with technology
Preferred Qualifications
- Some sales or customer service experience
- An understanding of how a range of small businesses make money, such as: professional services providers; home and building contractors; and Main-Street-style small businesses
- Familiarity with marketing software applications, especially for ecommerce, email marketing, and appointment scheduling
- Understanding of SEO fundamentals
- Bilingual (English & Spanish)

Full-time position. Cash compensation for this role is $52,000. The position is remote but candidates must be based in Hawaii or Michigan. Flexible schedule with limited travel.
