Annabel Benjamin

As a young woman growing up in the twenty-first century, I have experienced the influence of technology first hand, its growing capacity for increased innovation, and its central role in our increasingly globalized world.

I am a current senior at the University of California, Santa Barbara pursuing a degree in Communication and Global Studies. In sum, my main areas of expertise are online content writing, digital and traditional marketing, social media engagement, and public relations.

As an exchange student at King’s College London, I focused my coursework on business courses in both marketing communications and digital marketing specifically. Collaborating with multiple groups to create marketing briefs and campaigns, I specialize in intercultural communication and am able to establish clear and relevant communication channels for target markets.

I have held multiple marketing positions including PR and marketing for a Los Angeles based tech startup and working on the marketing team for the UC Santa Barbara Education Abroad Program. In both positions mentioned, I worked in social media marketing by curating and creating content for multiple social media channels. These positions also highlighted my collaborative skills, working with teams to establish effective marketing tactics for greater engagement of the respective audiences.

After being hired as the creative mind behind a blog for Naked Wardrobe, a clothing company in Los Angeles, I have become well-versed in online content creation, integrating brand personality in my writing. My experience as a writer has taught me to pay great attention to detail and always be accountable and professional. I am extremely motivated, love to work with others and aim to bring a positive attitude to every challenge.
